Exciting New Era in Drone Advertising
Sustainable Skylines has begun using drones for banner advertising with its first flights happening over Miami Beach.
These drones offer a cleaner alternative to traditional aircraft, as they cut down on pollution and safety risks. The company says their hybrid models lower carbon emissions by 90% and reduce noise by 40%, while also removing the need for pilots, making them safer.
Making Ads Smart and Green
These drones bring something new by tracking how well ads work. They use data from cell phones to see how many people see the ads and who they are, helping companies reach the right audiences. Flying closer to the ground, at about 100 feet lower than usual planes, makes these ads easier to spot and more effective for brands.
Laurie Keith from the Ad Council is excited about this new way to raise awareness about buzzed driving, saying it’s both powerful and eco-friendly.
People like seeing new ideas that also help the environment.
Miami Supports Innovation
Miami’s Mayor, Francis Suarez, is backing this project, appreciating how it benefits the city by lowering pollution and noise. He emphasized Miami’s commitment to embracing fresh technology and sustainability.
FAA Gives the Green Light
With a special FAA waiver, these drones can fly Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS). Observers keep an eye on them from the coast to ensure everything runs smoothly. Jacob Stonecipher, CEO of Sustainable Skylines, sees this as a big step forward for drone tech, celebrating their partnership with the Ad Council.
Future Plans Across America
After starting in Miami, Sustainable Skylines aims to expand across the country, offering brands everywhere a new, eco-friendly way to advertise. For more details, check out Sustainable Skylines.
