Autonomy Institute Teams Up with Ondas Holdings
The Autonomy Institute, which has over 300 partners focused on developing autonomous tech in the U.S., recently named Ondas Holdings as a key partner for a new project.
Drone Zones Along Texas Highway
They plan to establish ten drone zones along Texas State Highway 130. These zones will connect high-traffic areas from Circuit of the Americas to Georgetown. The drones will help with inspections and public safety tasks. This corridor hosts many big companies like Tesla and Amazon. Austin’s city services such as police, fire, water, and energy will also benefit from this partnership.
Ondas’ Role and Technology
Ondas Holdings is bringing its Optimus System to the table. Their subsidiaries, American Robotics and Airobotics, are behind these drone systems. Ondas also offers the Iron Raider system for military use. Jeff DeCoux from the Autonomy Institute praised Ondas for their strong, scalable drone solutions.
It’s fascinating to see how technology changes our world so fast.
Voices of Excitement
Eric Brock, leader of Ondas, shared his enthusiasm about working with the Autonomy Institute, emphasizing the project’s impact on community safety and economic growth. Jason Day from Texas Department of Public Safety pointed out how Texas leads in using drones for public safety, noting that teamwork between government and private sectors boosts their success.
Intelligent Infrastructure Economic Zones
The Autonomy Institute aims to create Intelligent Infrastructure Economic Zones (IIEZ). These zones will boost business and productivity by fostering innovation and community involvement. They will be platforms for research and skill development, engaging various industry and government stakeholders.
