Flying Warehouse to Change How Packages Reach You
Aeros is gearing up to show off a new delivery idea at the Deliver America Conference happening in Las Vegas next year.
Quick Package Drop-offs from the Sky
Imagine a warehouse that floats! That’s what Aeros, with help from Shipbots, is planning. Their Airborne Fulfillment Center (AFC) is like a flying delivery station. It uses something called an Electric Variable Buoyancy Airship (eVBA). This airship can get packages to your house in less than an hour, especially handy in busy cities where traffic is a nightmare. Aeros says their airships can skip over traffic jams and tough roads, making deliveries fast and clean. They say, “One airship delivers 4,000 packages per hour with unmatched affordability and efficiency.” This could mean getting rid of 110 delivery vans and cutting down pollution by 4.5 million pounds of CO2 each year.
People are always looking for quicker and greener ways to get things.
Helping Online Shops Be Better
These flying delivery hubs could really help online stores. By using the sky for deliveries, shops might seem cooler and more responsible. They believe people will be excited about getting things delivered from the sky, which might make them shop more often. Plus, it could lower shipping costs and speed up delivery times, making customers happier and more likely to buy again.
Join the Excitement at Deliver America
If you’re curious, you can stop by booth A28 at the conference to chat with Aeros and Shipbots about the AFC. Igor Pasternak, the boss of Aeros, will also talk about it at a session on October 11. He said, “We’re proud to lead the only FAA-compliant urban drone delivery operation in the world.” Payam Ahdoot from Shipbots added, “With the AFC, we can make delivery vans a thing of the past.”
